The Arts & Crafts Bungalow - Style and Interior Design
Arts & Crafts Bungalow
Arts & Crafts, or Craftsman Bungalows are popular throughout the US. They are usually cottage-style homes, typically one story with a covered front porch. Find some great resources for decorating, renovating, and enjoying your own bungalow home.

Decorate Your Bungalow Kitchen
There are many different approaches you can take with your Bungalow kitchen. I like to try to play up the Bungalow touches such as built-ins and period-style cabinetry, while blending in some more modern touches such as stainless appliances.
You can take the total retro approach and choose appliances from Elmira Stove Works, or you can go totally modern. Always bear in mind that kitchens and bathrooms are the rooms that traditionally add the most to your home's resale value when you decide to renovate or decorate.
Decorate Your Bungalow Bedroom
I like to mix antiques with vintage-style pieces and modern pieces for an eclectic look. There is no written rule that says your home decor must all be of the same period. I also like to mix dark woods with light woods and white cottage style.
Country Living is a great magazine featuring Cottage and Bungalow style that might not be normally associated with country style, as both can also be considered traditional depending on the design emphasis. French Country is another popular design style that crosses over into cottage and bungalow style. All of these styles are prominently featured in Country Living. This is one of the resources I use to clip photos for my scrapbook on design ideas.

Add some cute Bungalow touches to your Bungalow exterior.
Decorate Your Bungalow Garden
A Bungalow garden should be an outdoor oasis of color and plantlife. Small stepping stone pathways through the trees and flowers could lead to a bench, a gazebo, or a swing. Decorate the garden with benches, sundial, birdbath, arbor, trees, flowers, plants, or a water garden.
Decorate Your Bungalow Living Room
Antiques are always a good choice, but mixing in new pieces with a vintage feel can also work. Adding some decorating touches that blend the vintage with the modern is always a good idea.
